Recovery: Getting you back to feeling like you again

I have gained experience in a number of areas over the years, most recently as a movement specialist trained in ‘Anatomy in Motion’ (AiM™). I’ve worked for over 20 years in the injury, movement, pain and sports world. I have a passion for helping people solve problems. A big part of my philosophy is that I don’t fix anybody, I show you how to fix yourself.

I’ve always had a fascination with the human body, how it works and what we are capable of. I’ve studied traditional physiotherapy, strength and conditioning, acupuncture, myofascial release and Amatsu Therapy. I have most recently taken a fantastic opportunity to study the principles of “Anatomy in Motion”. This system of assessment is the brainchild of Gary Ward. It provides a unique insight into the movement of the human body to identify movement limitations. Working with Gary has allowed me to deepen my understanding of how we really move was humans. From this we can together, develop individual solutions to your body problems.

It can be difficult to make sense of pain and injury. They can happen for a number of different reasons. The human body is a collection of many different systems all playing a vital part in our day to day life. If one of these goes out of balance or isn’t functioning 100% it can lead to problems. Because of this, I will assess your lifestyle, posture, physical movement, daily habits and a whole host of other possible factors to identify whats holding you back. A detailed history and thorough assessment of all aspects of your health ensures you get to root cause of your problem. The process of solving your own pain and movement problems needs a whole person approach. A full injury history and a look at all aspects of health is so important. You are the culmination of all your life experiences and the answer lies in there somewhere.

I will challenge your beliefs and ideas about pain, injury and recovery. From all this I can then provide you with all the tools you need to make a full recovery.

Sessions typically last 60 mins. This time is needed to get through all aspects of assessment and treatment. This also allows time for questions so you can understand your body better and what’s going on with you.
